Lexington Independents is proud to partner with Jackson Academy in providing campus dining services. The following tips will help to ensure your student is set and ready to enjoy a myriad of choices created by our culinary team.
✓ Creating the student’s meal account prior to the start of school will ensure your student has ample time to enjoy their meal and visit with friends. Information for how to set up MySchoolAccount can be found on the Dining Services website under the Info tab. The student’s ID is required for the account set-up and can be obtained from the Dining Services’ staff or the school office.
✓ Positive balances remaining at the end of the 2018-2019 school year for students in grades PK – 11th will roll over for use in the 2019-2020 school year.
✓ Students in grades 1-12 will be enrolled in the dining services biometric scanning system. Chef Catherine Stewart or Chef Ivan Gray will be available in the cafeteria beginning June 24th from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM to enroll students in the system. This system is secure, and additional information can be found on the Dining Services website under the Info tab.
✓ Ensuring students have available funds in their MySchoolAccount will prevent delays at check out and allow for continued participation in Dining Services. Jackson Academy administration and Dining Services have agreed to cap negative balances at $15. If a student has a negative balance of $15, the student will be directed to their teacher to find means for payment or an alternative lunch solution. To help with this, MySchoolAccount offers a low balance notification feature. Don’t forget to set up that helpful reminder service!
